Mail
In the Internet age,
electronic mail is a standard means to communicate information -
words, numbers and images - around an office. Applixware Mail provides
a mail reader and composition tool integrated into the Applixware
Office environment. It also provides the standard features of a modern
mail agent, with folders, filtering rules, address books, attachments,
and the like. The one feature I've not seen elsewhere is a panel that
contains a diagram of the attachments in a message, making it simpl to
pick out and view a single attachment. It is not, however, up to the
standards of power mail agents, in that you can only view one folder
at a time. It is also missing facilities for dealing with
digests. Thus, while it makes an acceptable mailer for interoffice
mail, it's lacking a bit for a serious Internet mail user.
